The Prince's Drawing School
'Inside Out in Liverpool' Drawing Workshop
2 - 6 July 2007
“Inside Out in Liverpool” ran from 10am – 5pm, 2 – 6 July 2007 at Greenland Street and was an intensive five day programme focusing on observational drawing in and around the city of Liverpool, from the collection in Tate Liverpool and The Walker Art Gallery and in studio space at Greenland Street. This free workshop will combined some of the best classes on offer at the Prince’s Drawing School for fine art students in Liverpool.
The workshop was led by alumni of The Prince’s Drawing School who have worked extensively from the cityscape of London and its architectural space as well as drawing regularly from the collections in London’s art galleries.
The studio space provided an opportunity to develop work done outside or in the galleries and to take part in group crits and discussion of artists who have relevance to Liverpool. The week culminated in an Open Studio on Saturday 7 July.
This workshop followed on from the popularity of the drawing workshop lead by alumni from The Princes Drawing School as part of the Virtual Grizedale exhibition at Greenland Street in November 2006.
